John Barr - Bio

John Barr is an acclaimed actor, acting and singing coach. John, who was trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, made his West End debut at the age of 12 in OLIVER at the Albery Theatre. Since then he has had a varied career appearing on Stage, TV, Film, Cabaret, Concerts and Recordings.

Over the past 10 years, John has taught extensively at many prestigious stage 

schools and colleges.

Some Theatre Credits include: Lionel Bart in The Story of Bart - a show especially written for John (Tour 2018, and Mirth, Maud & Marvel 2017, and The Hippodrome 2014), Bull Connor in King The Musical (Hackney Empire), Barry Cronze in Rehab - A New Musical (The Union THeatre), Uncle Ernie in The Who's Tommy (Greenwich Theatre), Principal Singer in Rhythm of Life (The St. James Theatre, Sctudio), Fogg in Sondheim's Sweeney Todd (ENO)

Some Film Credits include: Convict 5 in Les Miserables - The Movie - directed by Tom Hooper (Working Title, 2012), Kenny Star in The Catch (Primley Road Productions, 2013) and Do Not Disturb - Shut Eye (2017).
